Memorial Day Celebration

We decided to take my parents to Botanica Garden for the opening day of the Butterfly House. Since Clara and Grandpa share a love for butterflies, we thought this would be the perfect time to go. Botanica also had their Memorial Day Celebration going on, with $3 admission (which brought everyone out), live Community Band (which was absolutely awesome--they played all sorts of patriotic songs), and FREE ice cream (which we seemed to miss--darn!). However, the butterflies didn't disappoint.James was too tired for the butterflies, but daddy was all smiles! Some butterflies are rather plain, but still pretty.Clara loved the zebra butterflies-the yellow and black ones. Here is a picture of one on the bottom flower.Dale and I bought Old Navy American Flag t-shirts for my mom and dad so we could take a fun picture. It was a little bit humid if you ask me, but Dale didn't seem to mind. If you ask him, he thinks I'm just crazy. We had a great day!
