Good Mornin'! Good Mornin'!

Every morning, I get to wake up to this sweet face (Dale is usually gone to work by 6:30 am). I get my 10-15 minutes to myself in the morning and then am joined by Clara. We do a little bit of school work, and then I hear cooing coming from the bedroom. And there he is, happy as a clam! Yes, he is in our bed. Unfortunately, I am either too lazy or tired to put him back in his bed during the night, after feeding him. Clara loves to help me wake up James in the morning by singing him our morning song!

Who Says Baths Aren't Fun?!

A mother's work is never done! Wash and put away the laundry! Wash and put away the dishes! Wash and put away James! He loves to take baths. Or maybe, he just loves water! (I just had to show off his rolls!)

Is it Trick or Treats yet?

So, for the past month, Clara has been asking us if it is time to go trick-or-treating. I don't know if it's because she wants candy or if she just wants an excuse put on her costume. Can you guess who she is going to be?!
If you have ever seen the movie Tinker Bell, which happens to be one of Clara's top ten movies (depending on the day, of course!), there is a mouse named "Cheese". They explain that it's his name because every time they say it, the mouse comes. Well, guess who is gonna be cheese?
They look too cute! Who wouldn't want to give them candy!

And of course,we have to have a "Captain Hook". Poor daddy, always the bad guy! Couldn't talk him into wearing the green tights. He really wanted the hook (which we still have to get). Mommy is, apparently, going to be Wendy.

Fuzzy Pajamas!

One of our routines at night is daddy reading a book before bedtime. This is usually time shared between Clara and daddy, but this night James wanted to join in on the fun!
One of my favorite things about cold weather is the fuzzy footed pajamas.
Don't they look so cute! I just love my babies!

This Place is a Zoo!

Since there isn't a whole lot to do in the midwest for entertainment (Sorry, no nice lakes to go "wake-boarding"-all our lakes are man-made and have trees in them!), one of the things we do for fun is go to the zoo, like everyday! They always seem to have a new exhibit every year. This year was Tigers.

I thought you'd like to see better pictures of the tigers, so I asked the trainer how I could get a real good close-up one for my relatives. She let me right inside to get a picture. Tigers are so nice and soft. This is a picture of Malik, one of the males.
Had ya goin' there for a minute, huh?! Ha!Ha! I don't have that good of connections at the zoo (yet!).
Something you don't see everyday-a Bison, made out of iron.
The otters are always fun to watch. This one was really animated. He saw me taking pictures and so he decided to get out of the water long enough for me to snap this shot. Then, he got right back in the water.
Ah! the Petting Zoo! What zoo doesn't have one of these! Ours is special because we have body-less goats. Even James got a good laugh out of that one!
Watch out! Clara's got him by the nose!!
I think this horse is a "Draft" horse. So would that be "roughed" or "final"?James really likes it when the sheep come and see him. Little do they know that if they get really close, he can take them on, by grabbing their hair.
