Before and After (Part 2)

Meet Clara's old room. It was really hard for me to switch rooms with her. I remember how much time and effort Dale and I spent into getting the room ready for her. Every time I look at the purple trim, it makes we cry and realize she is almost 5 years old.Door view.Standing in front of the closet view. Her dresser in front of a perfectly unused window!AFTER!!!!
Our new Library! This view is standing in the doorway. Those bookshelves were horrible to move. Needless to say, if anyone needs to borrow a LDS book, I am sure that Dale has it.We can now use the window that was blocked by Clara's dresser, although the closet can never be used again as it is being blocked by our roll away bed.One of the highlights of moving the rooms is that all the windows can be opened in this beautiful 70-80 degree weather.

Before and After (Part 1)

I decided to rearrange my house!
As those of you who knew me growing up (and now), I like to change things. Even my childhood rooms never stayed the same. My poor dad would spend hours measuring every inch of the room and furniture so that he could map out (on graph paper) where everything was going to go every time we moved.
So, I got the itch to move things around a bit in our house. We've lived here for almost 6 years and I was getting tired of the same old routine. As a side note, my brother Tom and his wife bought a new home and I was feeling a little jealous. We aren't too big for this house yet, but I am really wanting a basement.
So, I started with our room, as you can see our queen size bed took up every bit of space in there. Squeezing our two dressers together near the closet. I thought about condensing them down to one, but Dale has WAY TOO MANY clothes.
With the door closed view.AFTER!!!! We moved Clara and James into our old room. It feels like the room got a lot bigger! She has a TON of room to play!Remember our "two-dresser wall"? There it is with one dresser and James' crib. I was able to hang up more pictures that I didn't have room for before. Next thing on my list for her "new room" is to paint the walls. Clara says she wants blue and pink striped walls. We'll have to see about that!

Aren't They Pretty?!

On Monday, we took Bennett (our tri-color Sheltie) to be bathed and groomed. Normally, Dale and I do this on our own, but because she has such thick hair, we wanted to have someone get her thinned out. She came out looking so pretty.
We then took Odie (our sable and white Sheltie) today to get him groomed because he was just dirty. I did not want to touch him. He was done in less than 2 hours-Bennett took 5 hours.
They both "smell like roses", according to Clara. They are actually hugg-able. I really don't like paying the money to do something I can do myself, but I think even dogs need a little pampering every now and then. They sure act like different dogs. Such beautiful coats! Too bad it's suppose to rain this weekend.

Princess Clara

More pictures taken from Botanica Garden. Clara looked so cute standing there on the rock. Dale took the pictures. Clara called these rocks "Princess steps". She is so cute! We went back yesterday (since we now have a membership), and the moment we walked in, she says, "Oh, I love this place!" We are going to go back and take more pictures. It's amazing what happened while we were gone for a week. All the tulips and daffodils are up and open. It is so beautiful. A must-see!!

Pinkalicious!

It all started when my good friend came over to our house. She told me about a book "Pinkalicious". A little girl loves the color pink (imagine that), and she eats several pink cupcakes. When she wakes up in the morning, she has turned PINK-her hair, skin, etc. Her mother, who is quite concerned, takes her to the doctor, who tells Pinkalicious (the name of the little girl) that she must eat GREEN food to turn normal again. YUCK! So, Pinkalicious ends up eating just one more cupcake and she turns . . . Wait a minute! You should read the book and find out what happens.
I found out that they have several books with this character: Purplicious and Goldilicious. They are coming out with several more later this year.
So, as Dale says, I am obsessed! I am planning all the fun we are going to have for Clara's Pinkalicious Birthday Party (which isn't until August).
Did you also know they performed Pinkalicious on Broadway? To make matters worse, they were performing it at our dinner theater here. So . . . . We went!!
They served us Mac and Cheese, Hot Dogs, Chicken Nuggets, French Fries, and Apple sauce. I could tell the adults just loved it.
Who doesn't love cupcakes! This is Pinkalicious and her brother Peter.
She is so spoiled! Daddy bought Clara a Pink crown and Pink cotton candy! What can I say?! She's our Pinkariffic Princess!

Happy Easter!!

We went to Botanica Garden and took our Easter pics. These were just a few of our favorites. I will be posting more pics of our outing soon! Clara and James were sooo cute! I love the pansies that were in bloom. Clara was absolutely beautiful in her dress.James was also really precious. The safest place to put him was in the grass, without any flowers around. He was practicing picking them for me.
Shortly after we took these, we had a really bad storm. It worked out great. Sorry there aren't any pictures of Dale and I. We don't believe in taking pictures of ourselves.
